		<description>I&#039;m afraid I must agree--I don&#039;t even enjoy Bacall in the Hawks movies very much (although I do like The Big Sleep quite a bit, on the whole)

Written on the Wind is astonishingly wonderful, but  owes none of its greatness to Bacall.

I did like Dark Passage when I saw it, long ago--although, given my obsession with any and all uses of the subjective camera, I wouldn&#039;t even try to pass off this opinion as in any way objective!
